Looking for info on births in the early 1800's on Martinique, or St. Kitts. Andrew Kiens - 1804, Hannah Elizabeth Kiens - 1808 and Fredrick. I have the marriage certificate for John Kiens and Elizabeth Ival which was performed at Lambeau Estate by Anthony K. Thomas rector of St. George's parish - I believe on the island of Barbados. The name could be King or Keins. John was a Sargent in the 3rd Battalion 60th Regt. and Elizabeth Ival lived on the Island of St. Christopher. I have the baptism certificates for two other children. William (Guillame), and Amelia Augusta on the Island of Martinque. The family sailed to Halifax in 1816.
I have many paper in my possession of when he was paid etc. while working on the islands. Any help on where to try to find these birth records would be wonderful. Isabelle Fraser
