Robert SHAWE - Jamaica

Postby grey » Tue May 17, 2011 1:18 pm

I am trying to find out who my ancestors' parents were.

Robert Shawe was a solicitor in 18th century Jamaica. He is listed in the Supreme Court list for the island from at least 1786 to 1800. His son was born in Spanish Town on the 24-9-1786 and joined the East India Co. as a cadet and died in Bellary India in 1833.

Robert Shawe was the brother of Richard Shawe, who prepared the case to defend Warren Hastings, and along with his brother had a law practise in New Bridge St., London named Shawe Shawe and Le Blanc.

Thank you
