WATSON - Barbados and Guyana

Postby Michemc » Thu Mar 12, 2015 6:00 am

Hello, I'm looking for information on my great-great-grandfather James WATSON. He married a Mary SUTHERLAND GORDON around 1898 and had several children with her: Ethel, Edna, Irene, Daisy, Rita, Edwin, James and Clement. For years I thought the entire family was Guyanese but many of them have ties to Barbados. After their mother died c 1910 and the family broke up Edna, Irene, Edwin and perhaps Daisy went to Barbados and eventually died there.

James WATSON was a carriage maker and shopkeeper and was either white or mixed. I can't find a connection between James and some of the other WATSONS in Barbados, but maybe someone will see this post and enlighten me!
