GITTENS - Panama

Post by colonesa » Sun Oct 20, 2013 4:37 pm

I am searching for information on the Gittens Family.
I am not quite sure where they originated from, but Timothy and his wife Beatrice lived in Panama in the 1910's.
Thank you in advance for any help that you can offer.

Gittens is a well-known name in Barbados. I am presently researching Panamanian families with Barbadian connections, and there seem to be many such families. But that's not surprising since more than 25,000 Barbadians - including my maternal great-grandfather - migrated to Panama to work on the Canal project. Many stayed there after the project was completed. FYI, I came across a post on-line about the Gittens families, but unfortunately didn't save it.
