BLACK- Jamaica- All

Postby elsiej70 » Sun Feb 17, 2008 6:37 pm

I am looking for relatives of my Great Great Grandmother Susan Black- O'Connor. I don't know when she was born, but I think it was some time in the later part of the 1800's (1870+). She had three sisters, Elizabeth Black and Beatrice Black who were nannies and later moved to Germany with the families they worked for; Keturah (Katie) Black-Thompson who married Fred Thompson, of Jamaica, in Jamaica. She also had a brother named Robert Black. She was married to an Irish man named James O'Connor. After they seperated, she came to the United States in 1901 with her daughter, Sarah O'Connor, who I believe was 6 years old at the time. Later she married Samuel L. Wright (in the U.S.) who was born in 1887 and, who I have been told, was from the Hanover area of Jamaica and a sea merchant. Sarah O'Connor married Alfred (Gus) C. Nelson, also from Jamaica, some time around 1910 - 1911 in the U.S.

Any leads are appreciated!
