My only information on the George Nash who married my g-g-mother is as follows;
Geo.Nash b.c.1847 Jamaica British Subject m.Q3.1897 S.Shields C.Durham to Mary Ann Ashman b.1840.

1901census. 10 Curry St. Jarrow C.Durham.
George Nash 54 Sea Cook.
Mary Ann Nash 56
Augustine Ashman 20 Ships Rivetter.
Ann Marina " 18

No trace in the 1911 census and no subsequent record of death in England, so possibly went to sea and never returned.
