Hit a brick wall... I have a William Sampson, indoor servant, convicted of stealing shoes - court- Cork Ireland, transported to Australia in 1837 for 7 yrs. Convict records list: Roman Catholic, Could read & write. Single. 20 yrs of age. Indoor servant.

Complexion - black, Hair - black & woolly, Eyes - black. Man of colour, nose broad and flat, lips thick, 2 small scars on back of right hand. Native Place - West Indies. Married a free immigrant sent from Ireland in 1843 Elizabeth How(e)
