Mrs. Eleata Adassa Harrison Thomas ("Duds" to those close to her), who died suddenly at the age of 84 years in her home in England, on 13th March 2012.

She was born 18th June 1927, in Mount James,St Andrew, Jamaica. Born to Father Joshua Harrison and Mother Ethel Richard.

She was a devoted mother of 8, she worked hard and provided for her children from England. Even when she retired at the age of 65 years, she still took up work as a caregiver assistant after retirement.

Her biggest disappointment was that she had to give up her ambition to be a nurse, but she rose to all the challenges that befell her to provide all she could for the family.

She leaves behind her children Peggy, Lorna, Maria, Frank, Michael, Carlos, Winston and Kevin, of which 6 remain in the parishes of Jamaica and two in England.

I hope that all who can remember her do so with the fondest of good memories, as she was a strong, loving, thoughtful, kind and fun, with a sense of humour of a women to the end. Even though she fought through pain and suffering, she still had it in her heart to fulfil everyone’s wants!

She will be laid to rest after a service on the 28th March 2012 at her local church in England.

In Loving memory of Eleata Harrison Thomas (Duds)

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" (Matthew 5:8)
Mum, the love you gave will never die!
