I am looking for info on George Moore who was born about 1771. His wife's name may have been Louisa (but that isn't definite).

He had a son, George William Moore, born 1801, St Pierre, Martinique, died 26 Nov 1875 in Adelaide Australia. George Moore is listed as Assistant Commissary-General from Sep 1814 in Barbados/Barbadoes (this is in the Army List of July 1829).

The Moore family in Australia named their house "Corunna" in honour of Sir John Moore and the oral family history has Sir John Moore as a relative. The local library in Manly has a one line note (unattributed) saying Sir John Moore was a great uncle (possibly of George William Moore's son, George Augustus Moore - born 30 July 1833 in Gifford St, Shoreditch, England; married 1859 Adelaide, SA, Australia; died 1905 Manly, NSW, Australia).

Some of the Moores returned to England before migrating to Australia, because George William Moore was married to Marianne Mortimer on 30 April 1832 at Newington St Mary, England and they lived at Shoreditch in Middlesex in 1851.

I would like to be able to trace George Moore - where he was born and when and details of his wife. I would also like to explore the Sir John Moore (of Corunna) connection.
