I am trying to solve a mystery surrounding the origins of James A. Banks. His US immigration records cite that he was born in Basseterre, St. Kitts in 1878. He entered the U.S. in May 1893 departing from Basseterre, St. Kitts on the ship Belair. He married in 1894 and listed his mother as Mary M. Phillip and his father as William A. Banks. Other children to Mary are Ernest Martin, Arthur Martin, James McDonald Martin, and Ellen Maude Martin. I would like to find a birth record for James A. Banks and corroborating documentation for this family. Any information about this family on the island of St. Kitts or Nevis will be greatly appreciated.

Hi! There is a large Banks clan in Anguilla. My cousin Marjorie neƩ Martin married a Mr. Victor Banks and settled in Anguilla. They had 5 children and these children are still living in Anguilla.

I don't know if Victor Banks originally was in SKN, but his children would know. Hopefully, this info may support your search.
