May I suggest you find a LDS (latter Day Saints) family center near you, they have actually microfilmed most of the records from the caribbean including Jamaica. This place is a trophy find/ gold mine of data.

Hi Sherri, It has been noted the "Delande" could be and perhaps is a variant of the name "deslandes". The name is french in orgin and like many others things over time it is changed.
