My great grandmother was Louisa Edghill from Barbados.

She married a Mr. Harney in Antigua and they migrated north to Bermuda where they remained.

Hi I am the the great grandson of Samuel George Harney of Antigua.
I am told that the Harney's move to Antigua from St. Kitts.
Can anyone verify this - did the Harney's originate on St. Kitts? Are there any Harney's on St. Kitts today?

Does anyone have pertinent information concerning the name Harney in Antigua. When did the name arrive. I know that it is a popular Irish surname.

There were Hassells and Johnstons that sailed from Saba to Bermuda in the late 19th Century and early 20th Century.
