Re: BOLLERS - Guyana

Lance, just saw your post. Sorry for not responding sooner. Yes, the records are hard to get onto in GT. I only know who my grandfather is and I can't push back past him. I have done a fair bit of research to have an educated guess as to our Bollers line in Guyana. All Bollers in Guyana are most lik...

Re: CHIN / CHIN-A-QUEE - Trinidad, San Juan, & Guyana

I recommend you contact Trev Sue-a-Quan, who has done considerable research on the Chinese diaspora to Guyana. He is the author of two books on amazon recounting their stories: Cane Reapers and Cane Rovers. He helped me straighten out my genealogy with the Mook-Sang, Phang, and Low lines. Good Luck;...

Re: AMORY - Guyana, Caribbean other

Dear Nicola, maybe I've hit the jackpot here. I would like to connect with you; perhaps we are even related? It's been many years since I checked this forum for Amory information; hopefully you will see this. I do know my great-grandmother had an illegitimate son by the name of Watson; oral family h...

Re: BOLLERS - Guyana

I have recently discovered that my grandfather John Eustace Bollers was born in Barbados either in 1868 or 1872. I would like to connect with any Barbados Bollers family members. I would also like the info on who and where to contact to obtain a copy of his birth certificate or would appreciate help...

Daniel-Guyana

Need information on a Mr. Daniel associated in some way with Queens College, Guyana. Mr. Daniel married Sarah Amelia "May" Bamford, my 2d cousin, and went to Malaya in 1941(?) for a headmaster posting to a similar school. May's mother Flora Benson, is my great aunt and my mother's namesake...

Please disregard my last post. I misread you on St. Eustasius Island. Sorry. I will however try to track down the clue on Mary Amory who married John Abbott Howe of St Kitts and the Rawlins mentioned in your other post. Sorry again. Alan Bollers

Re: AMORY - Guyana, Caribbean other

Beth, Are you sure about Amory being a Governor of St Kitts? This site has the list of leaders: http://www.worldstatesmen.org/Saint_Kitts_and_Nevis.html The only Amory is Vance Amory, past premier, which is good news since his genealogy might be well established--a path to pursue. I know nothing mor...

CLARKE Guyana

Looking for any Guyana Clarke family members. Associated names would be Mary Alma Clarke (Bollers), my grandmother, her sister was Janie Clarke, whose daughters were Poppy and Betty. These are old names and were in Guyana in the late 1800s and early 1900s in Georgetown.
