I am compiling this mostly from memory and odd bits and pieces. I appeal for any correction of my dates, information that may be missing, photographs you can loan (or scan and send to me) from all members of the Southern Ontario Branch, past and present, and other Associations we have been fortunate enough to be involved with.

April 1984 Advertisement in "Toronto Star" appealing for ex RN, RM's etc. to form an RNA branch in Toronto.
May 1984 Founding meeting of SOB RNA  - Branch 66 Royal Canadian Legion.   Election of temporary officers. Click HERE to see them.
May 1984 Visit of H.M.S. Bristol.  RNA Tour of ship.
Jul 20 1984 Official Commissioning of Branch aboard H.M.C.S. Haida in Toronto.  Official message received from Her Majesty the Queen.  H.M.Y. Britannia visit postponed, therefore Branch Standard presentation by XO of Royal Yacht (Cdr. "Paddy" McKnight) put on hold
Sep 1984 Visit of H.M.Y. Britannia.  Branch Standard presented at Maritime Museum by XO of Royal Yacht, Cdr. "Paddy" McKnight
Oct 1984 First Annual General Meeting - Election of Officers, initial branch rules and locations of meetings decided at Branch 82 Royal Canadian Legion.
October 1984 RNA Southern Ontario Inaugural Dinner & Dance
Dec 1984 Branch commenced meetings at H.M.C.S. York, Chief & Petty Officer's Mess

August 1985 RNA march in their first Warriors Day Parade, with Royal Marine Association and Royal Marine Association Band
June 1985 RNA attend First Battle of Falklands Dinner in London
July 1985 Presentation of Union Flag to Branch by British Vice Counsel
Sep 1985 RNA march in their first London (Ontario) Warriors Day Parade
Feb 1986 First British Show at CNE.  RNA & RMA share booth
Jun 1986 First "Shipmate of the Year" award presented to Norrie Millen
May 1987 2nd British Show.   RNA form "Up Spirits" show and record "Tot" song
Jun 1987 Visit of HMS Fife to Toronto.  RNA tours and lunch aboard.  Trip across Lake Ontario to the Welland Canal
Oct 1987 First Battle of Trafalgar Annual Dinner & Dance - Parade of Colours
1988 Presentation of Indian Head Dress to members of HMS Brave at Six Nations
