JORDAN. GILL, HUSBANDS - Barbados

Postby MichaelJ » Sun Aug 09, 2015 8:03 am

I am a direct descendant of Edward Jordan (b.ca.1652) through Gibbes Walker Jordan, Colonial Agent for Barbados. I believe that Sarah Ann Gill, the only woman among Barbados National Heroes, was a descendant of another branch of the same family, drawing an annuity on Molineux plantation. This family was associated with Jordans/Husbands and Molineux, St. James, Brandfords/Jordans and Stepney, St. George, Grenade/FarleyHill and Welchtown, St. Peter and Burnt House and Walkers in St. Andrew.

I am anxious to make contact with any Jordan family descendants from Barbados, as well as any Jordan slave descendants from these plantations, and to discover (if possible) the origins of the above Edward Jordan.
