TASKER, HOLDER - Barbados

Postby warmdee » Wed Sep 16, 2015 12:56 pm

I am seeking information on the parents of John Edward Tasker born 1863/64 in St. George Parish. He served in the West India Regiment for approx. 18 years.

Also seeking mother's name of Mary Ann Holder born around 1860 in St. Michael's Parish. Her father is James Holder.

Hi
I don't know if this could be a link, but I am also trying to find information about my great grandmother Emily Adele Holder who married my great grandfather James Walter Elliott in 1876. She came from St. Michael parish in Barbados. She was born about 1852. She had 3 sons Hubert born 1876, Mortimer James (my grandfather)born 1879 and Goulbourn Alleyne born 1884

Hi, thanks for reaching out. I believe my great-grandmother Mary Ann Holder may have been born in St. Michael Parish. I have not yet verified this, however, when she and her husband, John Edward Tasker returned to the island after his service in the West India Regiment, they settled in St. Michael. This could have been a return home for Mary Ann.
