Could you be referring to "Kekchi"?

There are very few valid references to your spelling of the word, so I looked up Belize in Wikipedia and found this page...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belize

The link leads to this page, which is about the Mayan Q'eqchi' people, indigenous of Guatemala and Belize...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kekchi

According to the Wiki page, there are 10,142 Mayan Q'eqchi' people who speak the language as their first language, and 9,314 current users of the language.

This is the only word that even comes close to your spelling, pronunciation or meaning.
