DRAYTON, MCCLEAN - Port-of-Spain, Trinidad

Postby kelmd80 » Mon Feb 13, 2017 3:05 pm

Looking more information on the following:

Clarence Eugene Drayton b. ABT 1869 • Barbados m. Ella May (McClean?) b. ABT 1872 • Barbados issue: Ellie May Drayton b. ABT 1895 • Barbados

I only have one piece of documentation that links Ella as McClean. I believe these Drayton's were cousins to my McCleans.

From what I could find so far, Clarence was a shipping agent. He shows up on a lot of ship's passengar lists. Ella and Ellie also show up a lot on ship's passengars list. I know as of 1934 Ella was still living in Trinidad. My trail for Ellie has gone cold.

Thanks!

There was an Anna Culpepper Drayton born in 1856 in Barbados who married Richard McClean on the 13 February 1879 in St Joseph Barbados. Richard was born 1845 in St Joseph Barbados and died 5 Oct 1886. They had two children William and Mary McClean.

Thanks Chris -
I did end up finding that connection between Anna Culpepper Drayton and Richard McClean. Anna ended up being the half-sister to the one Drayton I was looking for, Clarence E. Drayton.
I couldn't find any children for Anna and Richard, so I will add that information, and hopefully it uncovers more.

Thanks so much!
