Hello, my name is Ava Watson and I just received word that you are my cousin as per Philip Alford. We are all seemingly embarking on the same journey to find out more about our ancesters.

I know for a fact my father was Dorrel Keith watson, his father was David Lawrence Watson, and his father was Charles Watson. The problem is which Charles Watson. Apparently Charles was a common name back then, but I am almost certain my greatgrandfather Charles was married to a Coy, and I have been able to link Charles and Charlotte to a David Watson.

But... Philip seems to think Charlotte's last name was Fyffe. The fact is Philip Alford, Dagmar Berry and John Hudson are all DNA matches. John Hudson's father was a Coy (yes he wasn't given his father's last name, long story). My father told my brother that we wer related to Coy a wealthy family in St. Mary. Charlotte Coy had her children in St. Mary. Yes I know Charlotte Fyffe did also.

My father has a typed family tree from back in the 1970's or 1980's that lists Walter and Lily as his aunt and uncle (David's brother and sister). On my grandparents' Marriage certificate, one of the witnesses was A. L Coy.

So that brings in the Lilybelle Watson link. Lilybelle delivered a baby girl name Ruby Rose with Charlie George and Sydney Coy was listed as present ath the birth. so all this to say there seems be a lot of Watson/Coy evidence.

Hello Ava, I am not sure what point you are trying to make. I understand that the Watsons were ALL related - there were MANY of them. Would you please say how Charles Watson who was married to Charlotte Fyffe is connected to your Watsons and Fyffes and show the document?

Thank you.

Hi Celia, nice to meet to and thanks for a prompt response. I don't know of any Fyffe relationship. Everything I have points to a Coy relationship. I sent some info to Philip via email. I know this site frowns on sharing email so Philip can share what I sent him with you.

Hi, guys...

Just so there is no misunderstanding, I have been in the un-enviable position of receiving over 6,000 SPAM emails a DAY - and increasing so fast I had to close my email account and find another, notify all of my contacts, and hope that I did not lose any business / income because of it.

I never want to be responsible for that happening to anyone else, so I do not ever allow email addresses to be placed in public - which is where the SPAM spiders collect them from.

Add to that the "PM" Private Message facility embedded in this resource, and there is NO REASON WHATSOEVER to put in public what you can so easily put in private.

If you put your - or anyone else's - email address here in public, that is an open invitation for SPAM to be sent to that address. The SPAMmers use internet "spiders" to comb through web pages 24/7/365 looking for the unwary.

To send someone a Private Message, look for a Post THEY made, and at the right side you will find a little square icon with "PM" on it.
        Image
You can see that on THIS Post, to the right. And it is there on EVERY Post.

Click on that, and a Private Message form comes up with their username already embedded as the addressee. Now it is a simple matter for you to communicate without making anyone else's life miserable.

One final note: The more you put about your search in public the more likely that others will find your Posts. You may have noticed that if you make a Post in Surnames I will Copy it to a relevant Country (or Countries) and other Boards where indicated. That is to maximise this same coverage in the search engines for others to find your search, and if you hide all of your conversations in Private Messaging with someone else you will lose that advantage.

And if you do ALL - every single one - of your conversations in Private Messaging right from the start, your registration will be deleted in six days without further notice or warning - because I have no way of knowing you are active on Private Messaging.

Hello again Ava, I know the Watsons (as far as my family is concerned) were Friends with the Coys - however ALL the siblings of Lilly Watson have Charlotte Fyffe as their mother. I need proof to the contrary.... I am awaiting Philip/ your update.....

I sent Philip what I extracted from the documents I saw on Family Search. I'm going to send him the actual documents so you can have the full picture.
