Hi,

I am looking for information abt. above mentioned Hans Haagensen and his siblings as well as all of the Haagensen and Knuthsen family in the Danish West Indies. I have knowledge of the birth of these 4 Haagensen-children in Sct. Thomas i.e.

Why was the children sent to Denmark? Did their mother Marie Emilie Hartvig die abt 1843?

Their father var see-captain Hans Haagensen. I am aware, that he re-married in 1857.

Any information will be appr.

I don't know if this family is related to yours, but for your information a Hans Haagensen lived on St. Thomas in the mid 1800's. His family is well documented in the book 'The History of Haagensen's House on St. Thomas.' by Birgit Freiesleben.
