HART and Kirkland in Jamaica

William Pitt KIRKLAND married Julianna Grace HART in 1818 at St. Andrews Parish Jamaica. He was the son of Moses Kirkland (Jr.) and the grandson of the infamous Moses Kirkland, the Tory.

1824 - Gibralter - St. Georges Parish
1824 - Ann's Delight - St. Georges Parish
1829 - Paradise - Golden Grove
1831 - Devon Pen - St. Georges Parish
1837 and 1838 - Leighfield - St. Georges Parish - 1837 Jamaican Alamanac

At one time, William Pitt Kirkland was also the overseer of the estate known as Amity Hall located in the St. Thomas Parish. Additionally, he together with his brother Robert Gray Kirkland, managed the Savings Bank at Buff Bay in about 1841. He was a Magistrate for the St. Thomas in the East Parish in 1861.

He had at least one daughter. Her name was Laura Eliza Jane KIRKLAND. She marrid George Burrell SNAITH in 1844 in the parish of St. Thomas in the East, Jamaica.
