NewHaven/Jamaica trade 1760's-1850's

Postby chriscod » Sun Feb 27, 2011 12:17 am

Hi. I'm tracking trade links and family /mercantile connections between eastern Jamaica (Portland and or Kingston of course) and New Haven. Connecticut. I know many of the planters and local island merchants traded with that region but am trying to develop more detail. I have a bunch of families becoming interconnected over time between the two areas names such as Downer, Foster, Fraser, Codrington, Blake, Panton, Neufville, Pierrepont etc. These links are better known during the Banana days but have found indications that they evolved long before. Drop me a line with anything of interest
