Hello... I don't know if this may be of any help, but in my 3rd great grandfather's will he states the following - "...and bequeath unto Susanna Clarke of Kingston in the island of Jamaica and widow of George Clarke esquire deceased her heirs and assigns all my negro and other slaves and I also give to her an annuity of three hundred pounds Jamaica currency for her life to be paid into her hands in Jamaica and not London". This is the will of Robert Shawe who died in London in 1818. According to info - which you can find easily on the internet - he was in Jamaica from at least 1784 - 1800. He returned to England, and along with his brother Richard had an important Law firm in New Bridge St., London, named Shawe Shawe and Le Blanc. I hope this is of use to you. For my part, I am trying to find out who their parents were!
