Researching information about one couple who married in Colonies in front of a Justice of Peace (for lack of catholic priest) on Nov.10 1767.

Names: LAFAY, François (1742-1824) and FOREST, Marguerite (1748-1819).

François was a shipboy (mousse), born/baptized in Ambarès (near Bordeaux, FR) embarked on the Grand Saint-Jean-Baptiste in 1757, deserted April of the same year at Cap Français (Haïti).

Marguerite born in Acadia, NS, deported in 1755, found arriving with her uncle Charles and family in Louisiana in 1765 via Cap Français.
