Looking for information on the Aquart family in particular Louis Aquart (died 1891), his son Peter Francis Aquart (born Grenada 1855/died Jamaica 1918) and family. Peter Francis Aquart was a resident of St. John, Grenada. First wife was Colina Campbell, daughter of Ronald Campbell. She died in 1890. Second wife Jane Purcell. Jane Victoria Purcell had a niece, Naomi Purcell, who also went to Jamaica. The Aquarts moved to Jamaica 1892.

Peter Francis Aquart had a sister, Mary Angelina, who married George LaPlace and had at least 2 children, Clarissa and Raymond. Another sister, Isabella Maria, married Manuel Rodriguez or Rodrigues. Both these sisters were still alive and living in Grenada in 1918.

The Aquart family was closely connected to the Mon Plaisir Estate in St. John.

The Aquart family lived in St. Lucia and Martinique before moving to Grenada and then to Jamaica.

Peter Aquart was a Catholic. He had a cousin who was a priest on Carriacou, Father Joseph Modeste Aquart (died 1920).

Other Aquarts that are connected are Dr. Modeste Aquart (died 1870), Jules Aquart (wife Sarah Victoria Boyle) died 1874, Angelina Aquart died 1899, Joseph Aquart (died 1906), Albert Eugene Aquart (died 1910). Any of these names sound familiar?

In Grenada, the Aquarts are connected to LaPlace, Rodrigues, Romney, Campbell, Olivere, Boyle, Renwick, Ogilvie families and others. In St. Lucia, the family is connected to the Marucheau and Plant families among others.

Any information would be much appreciated.
