Looking for more information on Dr. Edward Frearson, his wife Margaret nee Darcey, and their descendants. Period c1700-1850. Their daughter Elizabeth married James A Claypoole (1775-c1830).

Dr. Edward FREARSON was my 6th grandfather and I'm searching for more information on him and his forbears.
To date, here's what I have on him:
19 April 1779, Edward FREARSON married Margaret DARCEY at St. Andrew Parish Church, Kingston, Jamaica. He was of the Kingston Parish and "a practitioner in physic and surgery."
1790 Jamaica Almanac: Captain Edward Frearson, St. Andrews Regiment, Foot Militia
1796 Jamaica Almanac: St. Andrews, Judges of the Quorum & Assistant Judges of the Common Pleas, Edward Frearson.
1796 Jamaica Almanac: Lieut-Col Edward Frearson, St. Andrews Regiment, Foot Militia.

Kingston Workhouse, 28 May 1793
"KITTY, a creole, to EDWARD FREARSON, marked N F, 5 ft. high. 5/28"

https://familysearch.org/search/record/ ... %3AJamaica

Father's Name Edward Frearson
Mother's Name Margaret Frearson

Christening Nathan Frearson
06 Apr 1783 St Andrew, Jamaica

Christening Mary Frearson
05 Aug 1786 Kingston, Jamaica

Christening Elizabeth Frearson
16 Jul 1787 Kingston, Jamaica

From there you can note the children their son Nathan had, and so on.

Getting to know how to use the familysearch database can be very productive - you will note I set oniy the surname and the country to get started. Were you to enter just the parents the results wouid get narrower.

And then there are all the filters down the lower left side, which themselves have multiple layers each time you set one.

Well worth the experimentation.

Best wishes,
