I recently found a copy of my grandparents' marriage license. He (Adam Kerr, adult) and she (Albertha Bannister, minor) lived on Cat Island and were married on January 18, 1909 with the permission of her mother, Rose Bannister. That is all the information I have now. They emigrated to the United States on a boat called the Bella Mina in the early 1920's.

My husbands Grandmother was a Kerr that lived in Cat Island. Not sure of her DOB but she would have still been in Cat Island after 1920. Was it possible they had a daughter that remained in Cat Island after they left?

Sorry for the delay in responding. I don't get on here very often. It very well could have been my grandfather's sister. Do you remember her first name? Somehow the spelling of the name was changed to Carr once they got here to the United States.
