IMMIGRATION DATA

Postby pleslie » Fri Jun 02, 2017 7:32 pm

My father came to Port of Spain in 1930 and left with his family in 1940. I would like to try to find data such as actual date of arrival, name of ship, etc. I would also like to find similar data on his leaving. Is any of this kind of data available?

There is a series of very large books called "Passenger Lists" which started with three volumes in 1980 and have issued at least one volume a year ever since.

The detailed Post I made about them is here...

Further down I added a list - which may not be complete - of locations which subscribe to the set.

If you cannot get to one, I already have a "mission" for someone else to check the one at the Toronto Metro Refence Library next time I go downtown (date unknown) and I would be happy to add your names to the list.
