DE PASS - Jamaica

Postby acdepass » Thu Nov 10, 2011 1:00 am

I need to obtain the date of birth of Karl Owen De Pass. The probable year was between 1872-1874 in Kingston, Jamaica, St. Andrews Parish.

Thanks bimjim,

The correct pedigree chart as follows:

http://histfam.familysearch.org/pedigre ... ee=Knowles

I was able to find the birth certificates of several sisters of my great-grandfather (and other relatives), Karl Owen, at FamilyShearch.org. I cannot find neither the one that belongs to him or to the his oldest brothers.

Can you suggest any other source ?

Not really, my interests are in Barbados. If you would like to use a researcher in Jamaica I can recommend a good one...

I have a researcher in Barbados myself, but my "patriarch" at the brick wall has NO records at all, we only know about him - name, age, date of death - from his will. If there are such records they have been well hidden!

Do you think that your Researcher in Jamaica can provide an accurate cost estimate?

I need to confirm the birth date that we have: 14-Sept-1874, but other records I have does not fit with this date. I am rebuilding their grave tomb.

Cynthia Rosers is willing to do research in Jamaica... you may contact her through this form...
http://www.caribbeanavenue.com/rosers/index.html

That is a standardised enquiry form I use which avoids the SPAMmers - if you wish, just add your name and contact information, and ask your estimate questions. The form sends (only) her an email, and she will respond to you direct.

Best,
Jim

Hello, all DePass researchers. My name is Daniel DePass Evans, direct descendant of everyone on the pedigree listed in this post. I would love to join with you in fleshing out the history of the DePass line, be it in Jamaica, or England, or Amsterdam, or Spain/Portugal, or France. I hope to contribute to this effort, as well as be the beneficiary of others' research. I do have a modest collection of photos left me by my mother, and she was kind enough to write on the back who was who. I have done a lot of work on Isadore Orlando DePass, but would like to branch out as well. Please let me know your thoughts. Many thanks,

Dan
