MASSOUF - Martinique

Postby sebster » Fri Feb 13, 2015 6:33 pm

Hi everybody,

After months of research my family and I found the first Massouf in Martinique. His name was Cyprien Massouf and he was around 30 y/o when he became free in February 1848. Being reported to be African, I was wondering if maybe other members of his family were traded in the Windward Islands or the Lesser Antilles.

Martinique being located between St. Lucia and Dominica, I suspect that those two would be the main location of other MAssouf's.

Please let me know if you ever encounter someone with that name, thanks in advance.

Good luck everybody in finding your ancestors !
