Hi...

Do you see any references to a Menifred or Minifred in any island, may have no surname... ?

I have her listed as a Free Negro in Barbados in 1804, so she either arrived there a free person or was manumitted - but would I find those records on-line?

TIA

Jim

Hi

I have copies of slave registers 1832 for Jamaica, the owner James Derbyshire was one of my ancestors from Liverpool UK. By using this site I hope to be able to find out more information about him DOB and when he arrived there etc.

Hi Jude

I have found a James Mcginnis age 34 St George Antigua status coloured and slave owner Paul Horsford. I have copy of this register. I can email a copy off list if you wish.

Could you please check for a George Phipps and a James McGinnis/McGuiness. I have a James McGinnis listed on slave owner Paul Horsford's return, date thought to be 9 Sept 1817, but would like to check if this is the only one, as my James always listed himself as James Joseph McGinnis/McGuiness. Does anyone know if there are passenger lists for people leaving the Caribbean during the 1800's?

Hi
I'm not quite sure who/what info you are after, I have looked at the slave registers there is a John Martin age 12, listed for Antigua, and many James Martins on other islands, mostly Jamaica. You can look up the registers - see link on previous emails. There is also Caribbean genealogy on the new Family Search Site.

Hi

My name is Andrea, and am looking for information on my family. Have you got a register for Montserrat?

I am interested in the names SAMUEL, Skerritt, Irish and Allen.

If you have any info please contact me.

Hi Andrea

See the link in other posts to the Slave registers on Ancestry.

Montserrat is not included in the list of islands. I did a quick search on the islands included and there are plent of the surname Irish, a few Skerritts, and Allens, it would appear that those listed as Samuel were either as a christian name or surname only.

Hope you find something, If I can help you further let me know.
