Ronnie Mensch, working on a BOXALL One Name Study World Wide.

Especially looking for a BOXALL family in the Cayman Islands and a BOXILL family in Barbados

Of course any other sightings are greatfully accepted.
Thanks

Any information on the BOXALL name and it's many variant spellings would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

These sound-alikes may help this search...

Soundex B240 : boxal, boxall, boxel, boxell, boxshall, boxoll, boxold, boxhold, boxsell, boxhall, boxhill, boxeall, boxhole, boswell, baswell, buswell, bussell. I'm sure there are others.

Having researched the BOXALL name and it's many variants there are a few on this list that do not appear to be variants of the BOXALL name... all the names where the 'X' has been dropped have so far been proven to NOT be a variant of the BOXALL name. We can add to this list: BOXILL, BOXFOLD, and BOXWELL. I have not come across the spelling BOXEALL other than an error in transcripts the same with BOXHOLE.

To be fair, Soundex does not care if the names have the same root or not, or even if there are actually any names like that. Soundex works on the sound of the word, using an algorithm on vowels and consonants.
