Trying to figure out the origin of the family name "Burke-Green". Oral tradition has it as a result of a name change by our Patriarch known as Burke Adrian Green.

He may have been originally Adrian Burke-Green and changed it for some unknown reason. His children mostly born "Green" later contracted "Burke-Green" as a surname after his death.

Recent findings lead us to believe that "Burke-Green" was the name of a family originally from St. Mary, Jamaica. where he was from. He may also have been from Panama.

He was a sergeant major in the BWIR and served overseas in WWi. He worked for United Fruit Co. of St. Mary and may have in the production of Banana.

Later moved to Four Paths joined his wife's family business as accountant to Lawson Brother Citrus. He was a reknowned cricketer and barritone.

May have been related to Uriah Burke-Green.

Any information would be appreciated.
