McKIE, James Henry Ward - Barbados

Postby Ozzyjo » Thu Dec 22, 2016 2:42 am

I have identified a James Henry Ward McKie, who I believe was my three time great grandfather. He lived in the parish of St Michael. I am desperately searching for any lead on his relatives.

If anybody can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

In the reference book "Scotland and Barbados Links, 1627-1877" I also find an entry:
MCKIE, Taskel, born 1687, a Jacobite and a former soldier from Inverness, who was transported from Tilbury, London, to Barbados aboard the Frere in March, 1747. [P.3.110]

Thanks Bimjim. I have the familysearch data and it has been very useful but I suspect that it is, at this point in time, incomplete. The entry in Scotland and Barbados links is very interesting. There may be a connection.
