My gg grandfather (Moses ANCONA) visited his uncle E MONTEFIORE in Bridgetown in 1807. From his diary I know that Eliazer had a business in Swan St and a home in Fontabelle. How can I find information about the specific locations and more information on the business. All I know is that he was a "merchant." Also his traveling companion (Abraham LINDO) died from Yellow Fever in Bridgetown at that time. They are Jewish and I wonder if he was buried at the synagogue. Thanks for your help.

Hello,

whilst researching the 'Lindo's of Barbados - not Jamaica) I did come across the Abraham Lindo mentioned. I did find a record for him as buried in Nidhe Synagogue of Barbados on 16th May 1807 from histafam.org in conduction with the Knowles Collection site. His brother Isaac died a couple of months later also in Barbados.

Their parents were Elias de Isaac Lindo and Grace de Moseh Lumbroso de Mattos .
