Hello,

I am hoping to find information about the KIDD Family from Albion Land/Mountain areA of St. Mary.

  • My great grandmother's name was FRANCES KIDD (Abt 1865-1934/5).
    • She was married to Robert Armstrong Anderson and they had 11 documented children. She relocated to Kingston about 1927 and remained there until the time of her passing.
    • Frances Kidd's grandchildren said she had a very heavy accent and they were told that her family was from Africa.
    • I was also told that Frances Kidd had an uncle who was known as "Uncle Bam" who was the 2nd most affluent man in the area.
  • Frances' father's name was RICHARD KIDD [born abt. 1814] from Albion Land (info from marriage registration)
  • Baptismal records indicate that RICHARD KIDD's wife was CHARITY [born abt. 1834] (I don't know her maiden name) and they had 7 children: Eleanor, William, Elizabeth, Robert, James Grant, Richard and Frances.

Thank you for any and all assistance.
