Thank you. Sorry for the delay in replying but I grew very tired and went to bed... it was early hours in the UK

Years ago, a cousin of mine went to Barbuda and looked through the records, she doesn't appear to have taken photo's or anything... the feed back I got was that there were a lot of people with the Jeffrey surname and she found it difficult to understand the records. I don't understand why it would be difficult because my grandfather Edward had a birth certificate, so I imagine his siblings did too. Oh well, hopefully one day our familes will be able to locate our West Indian sides.

I wish you a safe and productive journey when and if you finally decide to go. I'm sure there are many family members still in Barbuda, we just don't know each other yet.

My grandfather Edward, a seaman on the Italiana, was born in Holy Trinity, Barbuda in March 1874 to Urias and Amelia Jeffrey nee Joseph

My father Reuben born 1924 in Wales, was the son of Edward.

Regards
Ros

Hello,
My name is Stephanie Jones (Myles). I am looking for the offspring of some of my Grandmothers siblings, Delis (Birdie) Charles and Manny Thomas. My grandmother never met these 2 brothers as she was born in the U.S. She did meet Birdie who is female. I was told Birdie had at least 10 children.

This is what else I know about the Thomas line. My great grandfathers name was John Haines Thomas born 8/1/1895. He married Frances Louise Jeffrey born may or july, 11, 1900. They had 9 children, the 3 previously stated and Henry, Morris, Pearline, Thelma, Leonard and Sylvia. My grandmother told me that some family left Barbuda and went to Canada and England.

I'm also looking for family of my great grandmother with the surname JEFFREY. I actually have family in New York that turned out to be relatives with the surname Jeffrey. Again, her name was Frances Louise Jeffrey. I don't know if she had any siblings, She died in 1944 in NYC.

I plan on visiting Barbuda next year. I want to get as much information as I can before going. I'll be sure to search records while I'm there!! :)

Thank you!! Have a fantastic day!!
