JENNINGS - St. Lucia

I am looking for information about Jennings ancestors in St Lucia.

William Jennings was Deputy Commissariat General to the army C1824-1850 in St Lucia. William returned to England around 1850 and is listed as a "widower" on the 1851 census.

His son John Hollingworth Jennings remained in St Lucia and held several positions including Commissariat of Police around 1848. He and his mother Elizabeth Lydia Jennings probably died in St Lucia.

John's wife was Elizabeth Chase and I assume she is also buried in St. Lucia. John's son and family immigrated to the US later in the century.

John Hollingworth Jennings also had a brother Edward Monk Jennings who was also in the West Indies. I don't know where to start researching. Any help would be appreciated.

This is my family. I am not sure if you have seen my posts before. I have not done any genealogy in quite awhile but you seem to have information I do not. Who are you directly descended from? We are the John Hollingsworth Jennings that stayed in St. Lucia.
