Do you have an idea which community she might have come from? Is there a surname? There are many baptisms without surnames so that is not an issue, but just checking. I'd be happy to have a look for you.

Oops... my mistake... I believe Chris is a Barbados expert.

Looks like the Mormons have photographed civil registration records for Antigua, some starting in 1856. Check these out at your Family History Centre if there is one near you.

Hi Vichou, Occupation "sugar planter" would usually mean that your ancestor owned an estate that grew sugar cane. The word planter generally refers to the owner of the plantation and I very much doubt that he planted the sugar himself. I'm not well versed in Antigua, but if you look furthe...
