Re: CASSIS - Jamaica, Kingston

I also am trying to find details on a 'T. Cassis' who was an old Wolmerian playing in the 'Present Team vs Past Team' Cricket match in 1907. I have searched familysearch inside-out and there are none that even starts with a T.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: NEWMAN - Jamaica, Manchester

A famous Jamaican runner from the 70's who ran in the Olympics: SEYMOUR NEWMAN, is from Manchester from what I heard and is back there now as a coach of Track & Field.

I'm not sure where he is but could inquire.

Re: BARROW, MENDES, WOLFE, DELEON, MELHADO, RODRIGUES, ANDRA

Interestingly I am also doing some research on the Barrow & Andrade families, the boys having gone to Wolmer's between the late 1800's and the mid 1920's. Ivan Barrow & his brother Frank were from Morant Bay and Jewish. Ivan was an accountant and businessman having done an apprenticeship. Bo...
