Do you have a direct male line back to him? if so it would be worth getting his DNA tested - i can give you details if you wish - as the Barnard/Barnet surnames have got intermingled over the years!

Beausire Kithry

Beausire, the man, is definitely French but took up with the British during the war as a result of the French revolution. As for the lady I found the same Indian/Sikh/Punjabi connections with Kithry, but I havent managed to get any further with it. She was in England about 1814/1815 as her daughter ...

Thank you. In fact the man's name is Beausire, and he was French - or from Alsace Lorraine. My interest is in tracing Polly Kithry and her nationality as the surname is not English or French. The best guess at this stage is that it is Punjabi, which seems rather unlikely. As to her race she could be...

PARKER - Martinique

Richard Oliver - Period 1780 to 1810. Family believed to be a mixture of a French? woman probably called Elizabeth, race and surname unknown, and an English seaman called William Parker or Hyde Parker. Had several children probably born on Martinique. Moved to St Lucia eventually.

PARKER - Barbados

Richard Oliver - children thought to have been baptised here around 1790-1810 era, though may have lived in Martinique. They then moved to either Martinique or St Lucia before going finally to St Lucia.
