Re: How many users have done a DNA test?

I've done most of the services but very few of my matches are from my island roots. We need more people with Caribbean roots to take the tests. The segment is woefully underrepresented.

Re: RICHARDSON, Alberta - St. Thomas (birth certificate)

Josie! Guess what I found? Alberta's date of birth is showing as May 17, 1880 in the Danish records: https://cs.sa.dk/picture/view-values/235383?picture_series_id=1101&selectedTab=24&page=313

I'm not finding them in my list. Do you know the approximate years they were born in?

Re: MICHAEL, MARDENBOROUGH / MARTINBOROUGH - US Virgin Islan

Do you know any first names for any of the Mardenboroughs? I have Mardenboroughs that tie into my Leslie roots.

Re: Records of the Danish West Indies

Just a heads up - some of the records are jumbled together. For instance, I found rural St Thomas census records mixed with St John records for the 1910 census. I also found marriage records mixed in with birth records.

Re: Records of the Danish West Indies

Thanks for posting this. It'll be nice to do some of my research in my bunny slippers. I at least know where some of my family was on the islands and dates but it'll be nice when it's indexed.

Re: RICHARDSON, Alberta - St. Thomas (birth certificate)

Hi Josie (sorry didn't recognize you),

The only Alberta Richardson I've hit would be 10 years too young. I have a feeling you're stuck in the same boat as me with records missing because of the missing Episcopal Church baptisms from 1877-1892.

Re: RICHARDSON, Alberta - St. Thomas (birth certificate)

The name looks familiar from research I've been doing. Have you checked the church records available on Family Search? https://familysearch.org/learn/wiki/en/Virgin_Islands_US,_Church_Records_(FamilySearch_Historical_Records) You have to flip through the book images but they've been a great help for...
