Paul, try the National Library of Jamaica. They have a large collection of images in their collection.

Re: GOFFE - Jamaica, Central America

Andrew, You may already have stumbled upon this, but there is a Joy Lumsden (a former UWI professor) that is putting together a historical website on Jamaica in general and on the Collegiate School in Kingston, Jamaica. She has a LinkedIn account. It may be worth reaching out to her. Good luck. Chuck

Re: TIVY - Jamaica, Clarendon, St. Catherine, St. Ann

Hi Cathy, Thank you. There may be a connection, but it would be further removed than James C. Pearce. My Pearce relatives first appeared in Jamaica in 1817 with William Pearce, a planter. William married Charlotte Martin and had four children during the 1840's. Unfortunately, I don't have any data o...

Re: TIVY - Jamaica, Clarendon, St. Catherine, St. Ann

I am sorry, but I can't help you directly with Charles Ryder Tivy. I am curious, though, on the connection to the Pearce family. Can you share a name or names for the Pearce connection?

Thanks

Chuck

In particular, I am looking for the names of her parents and the date that she (presumably) arrived in Jamaica, and under what circumstances she arrived.
