I'm related to Robert LOVELL, farmer, and Jane BEASLY or BEAZLY, who lived in or near Bandon until about 1820 when they emigrated to Montreal. They had about 10 children, and one of the eldest sons, John, was born in Bandon in 1810. I would appreciate any information on this family in Ireland. Also, I assume that the LOVELL surname is originally English -- how can I find out where they came from in England and when and why did they emigrate to Ireland? They baptized and married their children in Montreal in the Church of England, so I assume they were also Protestant in Ireland.
Thanks, Chas. Dobie.
